2017 In Review

Jessica did not complete as many bucket list items as I would have liked for her to complete for 2017. Some of that does fall on myself since I didn’t do the best job of reminding Jessica about what items were coming up and keeping her on track. This is usually why we never end up completing the list. My hope is that with the new year, we can refocus on completing the list. With that being said, let’s look at what Jessica has completed this year.

Jessica started by exploring all the streets in her new town after moving just a few months before starting the list. Our first adventure together was making the trip to the tattoo shop where Jessica got her first tattoo. While unfortunately we where not able to get video of it happening, we do have lots of pictures. As for myself, I have the memories and screams from Jessica to remember the experience by. Our next adventure together was heading out to Lime Creak Nature Center in Mason City to start exploring and walking all the trails. We completed a few then Jessica returned later to finish the rest.

As 2017 marched on, Jessica also finished visiting the Grotto of Redemption in West Bend, Iowa, watching the historic solar eclipse, contacting a company and thanking them for their product and finally cataloging all the books that Jessica has. Jessica also continued to workout at least 3 times a week for an entire year. A full log of her workouts will be available soon.

By far one of my favorite items that we completed on the list this year was Jessica taking on her fear of heights and riding the Ferris Wheel. It had been a few years since I last rode on one meanwhile Jessica was not excited at all. Jessica managed to gain the courage to finally get on and did a great job. She did try to make a deal with me and instead of riding the Ferris Wheel she said she would take a shot. I almost gave in but ultimately decided that we should stick to the Ferris Wheel.

2018 is a new year and there is much to complete however I am confident we can do it and I am looking forward to the many adventures we will have this year.

Hello to you my friend. I'm Carlos, Jessica's producer. Me and Jessica met when we both worked at McDonald's. We quickly became friends but also soon learned that we drive each other crazy. This defiantly makes for some fun adventures and usually ends in us just making fun of each other. Or me laughing at Jessica when she gets hurt. Of course, it's this childish nature that allows us to have fun with our adventures and you can be certain that there will never be a dull moment. Over the years, Jessica and myself have put together lists, however it was in 2016 that I decided that if this was ever going to work, I needed to keep Jessica on tasks with strict deadlines. As we continue to check items off this list, I'm looking forward to all the fun we are going to have and can't wait for you to be a part of the adventure, that is, if you can put up with our childness.
